Please find following a link to the proposed updated Bylaws which the Board will adopt at the Board Meeting on Tuesday 20 August 2024.  Questions on the process and on any Bylaw may be raised from the floor at the AGM on Wednesday 28 August 2024.  Please note that no amendments will be accepted at the AGM.  The Board has the authority to adopt any Bylaw (excluding those relating to Membership) without putting it to a vote (cl 12.3.1 of our Constitution); however, a member may seek to set aside a Bylaw by a majority vote at the AGM.

Feedback on the Bylaws (including any suggestions for modification) is welcome and will be considered by the Board but must be provided in writing (including email) to the Secretary no later than 5.00 p.m. Friday 16 August.  

Please also note that there are no proposals at the AGM to alter any Bylaws or the Constitution that pertain to membership. 

On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Glenn Doolan and Harold McNair who have overseen the recent modernisation of the Bylaws under the auspices of the Board.  Their hard work is no doubt much appreciated by Members.

We are pleased to announce that the clubhouse interior has been modernised thanks to a community grant from the Community Bank Trafalgar & District.  The Community Bank Board recently awarded our club $10,000 to modernise our clubrooms and replace our clubhouse carpet.

In recognition of the generous support of Community Bank, the club will offer TWO FREE CLUB MEMBERSHIPS annually as part of a member referral promotion.

Full details are outlined below, however in simple terms, any current club member who refers someone to bank with the Community Bank Trafalgar & District will go into an annual draw in June.  One new bank customer will then be drawn and both the new bank customer and the Trafalgar Golf Club member who referred them to the branch will WIN a year’s free membership for the following season.

WHO: All Trafalgar Golf Club Members – must be financial when referral application was submitted.  Offer available to all membership categories. 

WHAT:  Free Trafalgar Golf Club Membership for following year from 1st July.

WHEN:  Draw to be conducted annually on 1st June for new customers in the 12 months preceding.  Bendigo Bank lending and banking relationship criteria shall apply to all applications for this offer.  Annual winners to be drawn by the Community Bank Branch Manager, who’s decision shall be final.  The Trafalgar Golf Club will consider and ratify the new and current member’s application at the June committee meeting.

HOW: Simply collect the Community Bank referral form from clubhouse noticeboard, download from club website or ask club staff member for a copy.  Member to complete referral application and give to new bank applicant to submit when they open a banking relationship with the Community Bank Trafalgar & District branch of the Bendigo Bank.

We hope that all members can get behind our local community bank as the club did in 2018 when it changed its banking provider over to the Community Bank Trafalgar & District.
